Childrens Party Preparation Advice
As we get asked many times about advice regarding party preparations, we thought we would write some small articles about the subject. We are not official party planners but as we have attended literally hundreds and hundreds over the years, we thought we may know a little about the subject!
Are there only certain times when I can hold my party?
As we are professional hirers, we can supply equipment whenever you need it. The majority of parties tend to be at the weekends and either in the mornings or afternoons. If you are hiring a hall for the party, it is a good idea to book us as soon as you have booked the hall. We do get very booked up at the weekends and there are only a certain amount of bookings we can accommodate when the bookings are time sensitive such as hall bookings.
How far in advance should I organise my childs party?
Once you have decided where you want your party, we would say the average is probably about 4 months before the big day especially if you are hiring a venue. You definitely need to order everything early as the best suppliers will be getting booked this far in advance.
How many children should I invite?
This will always be dependent on the amount of space you have available. It is all well and good inviting everyone in your childs class, but do you have enough room for up to 30 children plus the accompanying parents or guardians? Remember in a cramped space damage and accidents are more likely than if you have more space to play with. You will be responsible for any damage to the venue and the equipment you hire as well. If you are having the party at home, you may well have more space in your garden which is fine on a nice day, but if the weather does take a turn for the worse, then be prepared to have a lot of your garden walked through your house. We go back to the point of having enough room for everyone to minimise the chance of any breakages or damage to your home.
